Miscellaneous Astrological Musings - February, 2018

The Stock Market Plunge

On Monday (February 5), the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1,175 points - it’s worst day of performance in several years. All the other indices were down sharply as well. What happened - Astrologically speaking? Well, the Sun had stimulated the lunar eclipse of August 7, 2017 at 15 Aquarius. The chart for the NYSE shows Uranus at 15 degrees and 09 minutes Leo. The aspect (Sun opposite Uranus and conjunct the eclipse point) actually occurred over the weekend, however Monday was the first trading day afterwards (and, the eclipse was still stimulated - within a two degree orb). The DJIA actually plunged almost 1,600 points at one time during the day before rebounding before the close (to just down 1,175). The market should continue to be somewhat volatile moving forward.

In my blog post for this eclipse, I wrote:

The stock market could experience a downturn or some other type of transformation.

Astrologers use a number of different charts to symbolize the formation of the USA. In all of the charts using July 4, 1776 as the date of formation, Saturn is now in opposition to Jupiter in the chart(s).

And, then on February 6, Elon Musk’s Falcon Heavy rocket launched successfully. In that same blog post, I wrote:

For the US, the eclipse falls in the third house in the eclipse chart over Washington DC. The lunar eclipse in Aquarius will affect the airline industry, the legal profession, higher education, communications/media, automobile industry, and the space program.

In NASA’s chart, Uranus is at 15 degrees and 11 minutes Leo. Saturn trines from 18 Sagittarius.

The dates used in the charts above were obtained from Celeste Teal’s Eclipses - Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation. If you're interested in purchasing the book, you can get it from Amazon at the link below.

The other day a client mentioned to me that he had been having high blood sugar problems recently. So, I looked at his natal chart - he has a t-square with natal Venus at the apex. His natal Venus is in the twelfth house and squares natal Uranus/Pluto on one side and natal Saturn/Chiron on the other side. His natal Jupiter is sesquisquare his natal Venus. The problem likely started when Saturn was transiting Sagittarius and conjoined his natal Venus (and stimulated this configuration in his chart) last year.
