February 10, 2017 Lunar Eclipse In Leo

The month of February is eclipse season in 2017. The first eclipse, a lunar eclipse, occurs on February 10, 2017 at 23 degrees Leo . You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 21 and 25 degrees of Leo and/or Aquarius. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon. The emphasis is on creative self-expression through innovation, originality, and/or just being different or unique.

The lunar eclipse in Leo will affect the entertainment industry and children worldwide. Also, Leo brings world leaders into view or prominence. Transiting Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn all form favorable aspects this eclipse point (and, Saturn, Uranus, and the eclipse point form a grand trine in fire signs). So, I would expect positive results from the eclipse. However, there will still be difficulty because transiting Pluto is inconjunct the eclipse point. And, Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto form a t-square in the eclipse chart. Mercury is the lord of the eclipse, so communications issues, negotiations, and agreements are important.

For the US, the eclipse falls in the twelfth house in the eclipse chart over Washington DC. Health related issues will be prominent. The Affordable Care Act could be repealed (resulting in loss) or it could get new life with some needed changes. Congress will face serious challenges to repealing and replacing the law. Mars and Uranus challenge Pluto by square aspect in the chart, so there will be more protests, rebellion, upheaval, and possibly even violence. Chiron on the Descendant indicates that we will be dealing with painful issues related to others - partners and enemies.

This eclipse occurs fairly close to President Trump’s natal Mars. He already has a fairly fiery personality under the best of circumstances. What occurs from this eclipse as well as the August solar eclipse at 29 Leo could produce some very dramatic results.
