Trump's Impeachment And The Eclipses

As I have stated in previous blog posts, when an event affects the masses, certain eclipse points are often stimulated by the inner planets - usually the Sun or Mars. And, the impeachment of a US president is such an event. It affects the entire nation, and to some extent, the world.

President Trump was impeached by the US House Of Representatives on December 18, 2019. The vote on the two Articles Of Impeachment began at about 8:09 PM in Washington DC. The chart for the event is below, and there are two major eclipses involved.

The first eclipse is the solar eclipse on August 11, 2018. This eclipse point was stimulated by transiting Mars by square aspect. In my blog post for that eclipse I wrote:

“For the US, this eclipse will affect the President and our own personal interests. Overconfidence and exaggeration is a problem for the President, and plans are probably not well thought out or realistic. Problems with the law and the courts is indicated and some of those problems might have to do with home front security issues. Pluto inconjunct the eclipse point indicates that security forces - such as the FBI - are involved.”

In that eclipse chart, Jupiter is in a square aspect to the eclipse point indicating possible problems with the law. The law and the legislative process is ruled by Jupiter.

The second eclipse that is important with regard to this event is the solar eclipse on December 26, 2019. On some occasions, a related event will occur just prior to the actual eclipse. And, Jupiter is already stimulating this eclipse point. Jupiter is the lord of this eclipse, and the eclipse point and Jupiter both square Trump’s natal Neptune. They also oppose Trump’s natal Mercury, although the orb is fairly large. This fits in nicely with what Trump was impeached for (the first Article). He wanted to surface and spread a fictitious story about Joe Biden and his son and their actions in Ukraine in an effort to help his election bid for the 2020 presidential election.

January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse In Cancer

The first eclipse of 2020, a lunar eclipse, occurs on January 10, 2020 at 20 degrees Cancer. This penumbral lunar eclipse will be visible over at least some parts of Europe, Australia, Africa, much of North America, a small eastern part of South America, much of the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, the Arctic, and Asia. You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 18 and 22 degrees of Cancer and/or Capricorn. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon.

This eclipse will affect home, family, and domestic issues. It will also affect real estate issues, and women’s issues. Mercury is the lord of the eclipse because it is in a close opposition to the eclipse point. As a result, the emphasis of this eclipse is on communications issues, the media, and short distance travel. The Moon is also opposed to transiting Saturn and Pluto, so there is also added emphasis on authority figures, big business, and issues of power and transformation. This eclipse is somewhat related to the solar eclipse we experienced on July 12, 2018.

For the US, the eclipse falls in the second house in the eclipse chart over Washington DC. Therefore, monetary issues are quite important with this eclipse, and some transformative changes will likely be in order. It could affect monetary policy, the stock market, taxes, the IRS, and national values. The Sun in the eighth house looks a bit ominous for the President and other leaders of the nation. It could mean death, but it could also mean some other form of transformation taking place - and, the latter is much more likely, in my view. This is consistent with the current impeachment process. It looks like the national debt along with the deficit could become very important. Mars located in the sixth house indicates labor issues that could occur suddenly and in unexpected ways as a result of the inconjunct with Uranus. Behind the scenes negotiations will probably not proceed as planned. Health and health insurance issues could also occur on a national level. With Venus in a wide square to Mars, there could be more sexual scandals. There could be an assault or an attempted assault on a women of national prominence or a diplomat. Neptunian industries - such as the oil and gas industry and the motion picture industry - are favorably affected by this eclipse. With Jupiter in a trine aspect to Uranus, the airline industry should benefit from this eclipse as well. With all those planets in Capricorn and the eighth house, there is an emphasis on the transformation of large corporations and big business. These structural changes and power shifts are not likely to be experienced as something pleasant - those aspects look a bit hard and harsh.

Major Astrological Influences Of 2020

2020 promises to be a very interesting year. There will be more of the unexpected, more lessons to learn, more growth and opportunities, more dreams and ideals, and more transformational experiences. I’ll attempt to explain some of the major astrological influences of the year in the following paragraphs.

There are usually three Mercury retrograde periods every year. In 2020, these Mercury retrograde periods will fall in the air and water signs. These periods are generally marked by miscommunications, misunderstandings, problems with communications equipment, travel delays, and plans that will later need to be revised or completely changed. It’s usually better not to make important decisions or to sign contracts (or anything else) if that is possible during these periods. Complications and problems are too easy to encounter, and often we don’t have all the information that we need. The best thing to do is to continue to collect this information throughout the period. How these periods will affect you personally depends on where it happens in your astrological chart(s).

In 2020, we will experience a Venus retrograde period beginning in mid May and continuing till close to the end of June in Gemini. Our one on one relationships are up for review then. However, it’s wiser to wait till this period is over before making any final decisions. It could just be a short period of testing.

In 2020, we will experience a Mars retrograde period from early September through early November in the sign of Aries. Taking action during this period of time will likely produce complicated and perhaps unexpected results. And, since this retrograde period occurs in Aries, it could be quite difficult to hold back.

There will be eclipses in January, June, July, November, and December of 2020. They occur in Cancer, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Gemini. Interestingly, we will experience a solar eclipse at zero Cancer on June 20 this year. It will be a very powerful eclipse, and it is related/similar to the eclipse we experienced on June 21, 2001 (also at 0 Cancer). Eclipses are intense and important events that often affect the masses. An eclipse will affect you personally if it hits one of your natal planets or points (within a two degree orb). If you’d like to know if an eclipse will affect you personally, ask me. Most people will experience these eclipses as either a Full Moon or a New Moon.

Saturn will continue its transit through Capricorn. It could influence the large multinational corporations, the leather and hide industries, and the iron and steel industries. And, then Saturn will enter Aquarius in late March for a little over three months. During this period, Saturn will affect Astrology, friendships, groups, humanitarian efforts, and the high tech. Industry. Saturn re-enters Capricorn in early July. Saturn re-enters Aquarius (to stay for the next two plus years) in mid December. This transit will affect you personally depending on where Saturn is transiting in your astrological chart(s) (its house placement and if it aspects any of your natal planets or points). Transiting Saturn will conjoin transiting Pluto on January 12, 2020, which is expected to be quite intense. Power structures will be transformed, and fate is likely to catch up with those in power.

Uranus, the planet of change and the unexpected, will continue to transit financially conscious Taurus in 2020. Transiting Uranus will transit Taurus till July of 2025. Transiting Uranus could affect the high technology industry, astrology/astrologers, civil rights issues, and other humanitarian interests. Transiting Taurus, it could affect the banking industry, investments,  and finances. It is likely to affect the stock market as well. We might come up with new ways to make money and/or we may change the way we think about money and other possessions. Some astrologers have indicated that this transit could cause more earthquakes to occur. My own view is that this transit alone will not be the cause of more earthquakes (should we actually experience more).

Jupiter will be transiting the sign of Capricorn for much of 2020. We should experience opportunities with regard to our ambitions, career, and professional life. You will personally experience growth, opportunities, and good fortune in whatever house Jupiter is transiting in our your chart(s). Jupiter will conjoin transiting Pluto in Capricorn in early April, and will add to the Saturn/Pluto effect. Jupiter enters the sign of friendship, Aquarius, in mid December.

Neptune will continue its transit through its home sign of Pisces in 2020. The oil and gas industries will be impacted by this transit. Neptune also rules the motion picture industry and the shipping industry. This transit might help us out with some of the heavier Capricorn transits (Saturn and Pluto) during the year.

Pluto will continue to transit the sign of Capricorn in 2020. The areas related to Capricorn (see above for Saturn) are due for transformation. Pluto’s effects are subtle sometimes, tend to happen over a lengthy period of time, and are very powerful.

December 25/26, 2019 Solar Eclipse In Capricorn

Our last eclipse of 2019 will be a  solar eclipse on December 25/26, and it occurs at 4 degrees and 10 minutes Capricorn. The eclipse occurs at 9:18 PM on the West Coast and at 12:18 AM on the East Coast. This annular eclipse will be visible in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. Since this eclipse occurs in ambitious and business oriented Capricorn, this eclipse could affect corporate leaders along with large multinational corporations, authority figures, and the leather industry. The lord of the eclipse is Jupiter. As such, there is an element of luck to this eclipse. But, there is also an element of risk and of excessive expectations. Just a little bit of restraint could make this eclipse manifest quite positively.

This eclipse is conjunct the IC over Washington DC, although it is in the third house. So for the US, this eclipse will affect the real estate industry, domestic matters, homeland security, the elderly, transportation issues, and the national media. Uranus is in trine aspect to the eclipse point (and Jupiter), so there could be sudden and/or unexpected changes for the better in these areas. Some of those changes could be transformative. Mercury is located in the third house and in square aspect to Neptune, so fake news could continue to be a problem for us. Saturn and Pluto are conjunct in the fourth house. So, there are likely to be structural changes and transformation with regard to homeland issues and power structures. This is a very heavy influence and occurs just prior to the nation’s Pluto return. The intensity looks quite palpable. On another level, Venus is in square aspect to Uranus in the chart. There could be famous relationships scandals. We might begin to look at our one on one relationships in a new and different way, and freedom could become more important. Mars is in a trine aspect to Neptune, which could bode well for the oil and gas industry. It is also a positive aspect for labor/workers because Neptune is located in the sixth house.

This eclipse falls in opposition to Jupiter and Venus in the nation’s chart. This will call for changes with regard to the US Congress and the US judiciary (especially the Supreme Court). There has been talk of adding additional Supreme Court justices. This eclipse could produce such an event, but there are other ways that it could manifest as well. It will also affect the nation’s finances.

As always, this eclipse will affect you personally if you have planets and/or points conjunct or opposite the eclipse point (only a two degree orb). Those planets or points between 2 degrees and 6 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer are included. Eclipses are Uranian in nature in that what happens is likely to be unexpected, and you might not even be certain as to what is happening for six months. For a solar eclipse, it takes about a year for the event to completely mature. Whether the eclipse is experienced as positive or negative depends on the planet that is conjoined or opposed, it’s place in your chart, the condition that the planet is in, and whether and how you might have prepared for what is happening (i.e. free will). If you’d like to know if you have planets or points that fall into this range, let me know. For most people, it will be experienced simply as a New Moon type event. Those are generally felt as the start of something new or a new beginning.

Astrology Of The Kincade Fire In California

SFIST.com

According to the California Department Of Forestry & Fire Protection, the Kincade Fire started on October 23, 2019 at 9:27 PM PDT. And, it began close to Geyserville, CA. The event chart is below. Mars in the event chart is stimulating the July 2, 2019 solar eclipse point in Cancer by square aspect. The fire began to spread and it occurred at the same time as PG&E had planned to turn off the power in various areas of Northern California. The fire has burned a number of structures in Geyserville and surrounding areas.

On October 26, PG&E turned off power to an even greater portion of Northern California because of high winds and continued dry air. The fire began to spread at an even greater pace and was only ten percent contained at the time. The wind is a big problem. At the time, Mars had begun to stimulate the January 5, 2019 solar eclipse point in Capricorn by square aspect. And, transiting Mars was about to square transiting Saturn in Capricorn as well. Interestingly, Mercury is in a square aspect to Mars and Saturn in this eclipse chart. The Governor has declared a state of emergency as I write this post, and there have been widespread evacuations.

In California’s chart, Mercury and Mars are conjunct in early to mid Libra. Mars in the event chart is conjunct California’s Mercury and close to conjunct California’s Mars. These fires are prone to happen every year (around this time), but I think the eclipses have made them more severe and have caused them to affect far more people. Transiting Saturn squaring from Capricorn adds to the difficulty as well.

The US Stock Market's Worst Day Of 2019 And The Eclipses

The US stock market had its worst day of trading in 2019 (thus far) on August 14, 2019. The DOW fell 800 points (or 3.05 %). The S & P 500 index and the NASDAQ also fell about the same percentage. Traders were stunned and worried because of the inverted yield curve. They have also been worried about what Trump’s trade war with China is doing to the national economy. I suspect that those concerns are warranted.

The chart for the close of trading on that day (in New York) shows transiting Mars at 27 Leo. At that degree, it is stimulating the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse point (the Great American Eclipse) by conjunction. And, in that chart of the eclipse over Washington DC, it shows transiting Pluto in the second house of finances in opposition to transiting Venus (and Ceres) in the eighth house of investments and debt.

The chart for the close of trading on that day also shows transiting Mars stimulating the February 15, 2018 solar eclipse  in Aquarius by opposition. In my writeup for this eclipse, I wrote:

“For the US, this eclipse will affect our national debt, joint finances, investments, the stock market …”

In this eclipse, the eclipse point itself is in the eighth house. And also in that eclipse chart, transiting Mars is in the fifth house of speculative ventures and in a square aspect to transiting Neptune (in the eighth house). Neptune rules the ninth house of foreign nations in the eclipse chart, and I suspect that Trump’s trade war with China also had an effect.

And, last but certainly not least, transiting Pluto is stimulating the July 12, 2019 solar eclipse in Cancer by opposition to the eclipse point. In my writeup for that eclipse, I wrote:

“For the US, this eclipse will affect children, the entertainment industry, risky investments, and the stock market”

“Transiting Mars also squares transiting Uranus (in the second house). Sudden and violent fluctuations in the stock market and with regard to monetary interests are likely to occur as a result of this eclipse. This might have to do with actions our friends might take (tariffs?) since Uranus rules the eleventh house”

In addition to the above, transiting Jupiter is located in the eighth house in that eclipse chart and in a square aspect to transiting Neptune (in the first and conjunct the Ascendant).

These same issues will continue to be a problem for the US stock market on into next year. And, it could have a big effect on the next presidential election. Will Trump remain firm regarding his tariffs on China? We’ll see.

The charts for the eclipses that I mentioned in this post are in the previous posts that I linked to in this report. And, the chart for the stock market closing on August 14 is below.

July 16, 2019 Lunar Eclipse In Capricorn

The month of July is eclipse season in 2019. The second eclipse of the month, a lunar eclipse, occurs on July 16, 2019 at 24 degrees Capricorn. The partial lunar eclipse will be visible over most of Australia, Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia. The eclipse will miss North America, except for the most southern and eastern parts of the continent. You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 22 and 26 degrees of Cancer and/or Capricorn. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon. This eclipse will affect large corporations, other large businesses, authority figures, and other persons in positions of power. Pluto is the lord of the eclipse because it is in a fairly close conjunction to the eclipse point. As a result, the emphasis of this eclipse is on transformation. The Moon is also widely conjunct transiting Saturn, so there is also added emphasis on authority figures and big business.

For the US, the eclipse falls in the second house in the eclipse chart over Washington DC (the chart is below). Therefore, monetary issues are quite important with this eclipse, and some transformative changes will likely be in order. It could affect monetary policy, the stock market, taxes, and the IRS. The Sun in the eighth house looks a bit ominous for the President and other leaders of the nation. It could mean death, but it could also mean some other form of transformation taking place - and, the latter is more likely, in my view. With Pluto and Saturn in opposition to the Sun, the President is likely to come up against some very powerful forces, and that probably includes big business. It looks like the national debt along with the deficit could become very important. With transiting Mars (in the eighth house of investments) squaring transiting Uranus (in the fifth house of speculation and risk), the stock market could be in for some wild swings - both up and down. With transiting Saturn and Pluto in the second house in the chart, the long awaited and feared recession could finally arrive. Even so, some industries will still do well. Transiting Jupiter is in a trine aspect to Mars indicating that sports related industries will do well. And, transiting Neptune is in a wide trine aspect to the Sun in the chart. The oil and gas industry should continue to profit. The national media could be in for some big changes as well with transiting Mercury residing in the eighth house.

The Ridgecrest Earthquake

Earthquakes are fairly common in California. There are numerous faults running through the state. However, they are usually quite small in terms of intensity. But, the South Central part of the state has experienced a major earthquake on July 5, 2019 - 7.1 on the richter scale. There was a foreshock on July 4, 2019 that registered 6.4 on the richter scale in the same area. I looked at the chart of the first quake, and it did not look like the main event to me. And, I was right. The main event occurred the following night at 8:19 PM local time. The nearest town to the epicenter is Ridgecrest, California. Several fires broke out and five people were injured after the mainshock. Highway 178 was closed to traffic as a result of cracks in the road and rockslides.

As is usually the case, inner planets (usually the Sun or Mars) were stimulating one or more eclipses at the time. In this case, the Sun was stimulating the January 5, 2019 solar eclipse in Capricorn by opposition. In addition, we had just had another solar eclipse in Cancer on July 2, 2019. The chart for the July 5 event is below. Mercury and Mars close to conjunction symbolize the fires that broke out. And, Mercury/Mars were in a square aspect to Uranus, which was conjunct the IC in the chart. Saturn and Pluto are conjunct the Ascendant. The Sun and the lunar node are in opposition to Saturn and Pluto and on the Descendant.

Ridgecrest was incorporated on November 29, 1963. On that date, the lunar node was at eleven degrees and thirty-six minutes Cancer. Mercury and Mars are conjunct and squaring Pluto in the chart.

July 2, 2019 Solar Eclipse In Cancer

Our third eclipse of 2019 will be a  solar eclipse on July 2, and it occurs at 10 degrees and 42 minutes Cancer. This total solar eclipse will be visible from small parts of Chile and Argentina just before sunset. Some regions in the Pacific and South America, including locations in Ecuador, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay will see a partial solar eclipse, if the weather permits. Eclipses generally affect the masses - events that affect most people in a large area or even worldwide. Since this eclipse occurs in domestic and family-oriented Cancer, this eclipse could affect family matters, domestic issues, women’s issues, homes, and land.
For the US, this eclipse will affect the President because it is in conjunction to the Sun in the chart of the United States. Saturn in opposition to this point will cause continuing problems for the President. Saturn’s placement in the third house indicates that the media will continue to be a heavy and stern check on the President. The eclipse takes place in the ninth house in the chart over Washington DC. This eclipse will affect the legislature and the judicial branch as well. Look for a continued push for impeachment hearings, and the Courts will likely continue to side with the House in their efforts to get information on Trump’s finances and from Mueller’s report (the sections that were blacked out because of classified information requirements).

The eclipse in the ninth house will also affect the airline industry legal organizations and law firms, higher education issues, the healthcare industry, and relations with foreign countries. The Mercury/Mars conjunction in the ninth opposed by Pluto could indicate severe problems and/or accidents. There could be more talk of war and/or violence with foreign nations. There could be surprises and/or sudden moves from an enemy or partner with Uranus on the descendant. Violence and/or war cannot be eliminated from the possibilities with the Mercury/Mars conjunction in a square aspect to Uranus in the chart. We could lose a famous diplomat or woman with Venus in the eighth house. And, there continues to be a great deal of optimism with regard to the economy with Jupiter in the second house. That optimism probably is not justified since Neptune is in a square aspect to Jupiter.

As always, this eclipse will affect you personally if you have planets and/or points conjunct or opposite the eclipse point (only a two degree orb). Those planets or points between 8 degrees and 12 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer are included. Eclipses are Uranian in nature in that what happens is unexpected, and you might not even be certain as to what is happening for six months.

Miscellaneous Astrological Musings - May, 2019

Person 1 Moves Across The Country

A gentleman in San Francisco experienced an eclipse on his natal Uranus on August 21, 2017. This was a solar eclipse, and I suspected that it meant he would be moving out of town about a year from that solar eclipse. His natal Uranus resides in his fourth house and is the ruler of his natal tenth house. He moved to the East Coast on October 1, 2018. He had planned to move on September 1, 2018, but he was delayed - a Mercury retrograde period in August of that year seems to have caused the month-long delay.

Special Counselor, Robert Mueller’s Letter To Barr Surfaces On April 30, 2019

Robert Mueller sent a letter to AG Barr indicating his dissatisfaction with how Barr was representing his conclusions of the investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 election and Trump’s connections to the Russians. That letter surfaced in an article in the Washington Post on April 30, 2019. On that day, the Sun was conjunct Trump’s natal Pluto - which is located in his natal twelfth house of secrets and self-undoing. A powerful person behind the scenes sends a powerful message - not so fast with all this “total exoneration” talk.

Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin passed away last year on August 16. I found her natal chart to be quite interesting and described her quite well.

She was born on March 25, 1942 in Memphis, TN. The time as listed by astro.com is 10:30 PM and gets a Rodden rating of AA. She is an Aries with Scorpio rising and Moon in Cancer.

Her Sun is in the fifth house - the house of creativity, children, and just having fun. She loved to perform and I’ve heard many that knew her well describe her as having a very regal presence (today). The fifth house is related to the sign of Leo. It’s no surprise that she became known as a queen - the Queen Of Soul. Her MC (the top of the chart) is on Leo. And, her lunar node is located in the tenth house. It seems that she was destined for success and public acclaim. She earned/won eighteen Grammy awards. Her Aries Sun reminds me of songs such as “Who’s Zooming Who” and “RESPECT.”

The USA Trade War With China

President Trump has gotten the USA involved in a trade war with China. The countries have been issuing tariffs on goods exported from the other country. Transiting Saturn and Mars had been aspecting relevant planets in the charts for all three - Trump, the USA, and China when this trade war began.

Transiting Saturn had been aspecting Trump’s natal Mercury and Neptune by opposition and square aspect respectively for a few months. As Mars joined Saturn in early Capricorn (in addition to transiting Sun and Mercury in early Aries), the trade war broke out.

The latest government of China was formed on October 1, 1949 in Peking. The chart drawn for that event (shown below) puts the Sun at 8 Libra, Mercury at 13 Libra, and Uranus at 5 Cancer. The Libra planets reside in the eighth house of joint finances and others’ money. Uranus is conjunct the USA’s Jupiter and Venus.

And, now transiting Chiron is making hard aspects to the above planets from early Aries.

Person 2 Has Kidney Stones

A gentleman I know has had two incidents of kidney stones during the last few months. The first time he had this issue, transiting Saturn was conjunct his natal Venus in Capricorn. The second time it occurred, transiting Chiron was in a square aspect to his natal Venus in Capricorn. He has also had lower back pain issues.

An Interesting Couple

I have an interesting couple in my database. They are married, and the male identifies as heterosexual and the female identifies as bisexual.

The male is a Capricorn (natal Sun in Capricorn). Saturn, which rules Capricorn is conjunct the female’s Ascendant. The female is a Sagittarius. Jupiter, which rules Sagittarius, is conjunct the male’s Ascendant. Is this reflected in the charts of all married couples? No, it isn’t - it’s actually a fairly rare occurrence. The male’s natal Juno (civil marriage) is in late Sagittarius and is conjunct the female’s natal Sun.

In the couple’s composite chart, the Sun shows up in the fifth house. They are together to express love and joy as a couple and to show others that it’s possible. And, there is definitely a lot of love and joy between them, and they certainly have a good time together. Composite Venus is also located in the fifth house, and that is one of the best placements for a couple.

Is it all fun, joy, and love for this couple? Do they have any problems? Of course they have problems. What is their major problem? Composite Saturn is located in the second house of money, values, and possessions. And, it is squaring their composite Sun. The Sun/Saturn aspect might keep them together, but it’s not pleasant. So, their big issue is money, and they’ll need to work on that.
