Michael Cohen Testifies Before Congress Again

Michael Cohen - President Trump’s “fixer” - is testifying before a House committee today (in public). Part of what he has been convicted of (by Special Counsel) is lying to Congress, so he says that he wanted to  make it right and tell the truth. He testified - in private - yesterday (2/27/19) before a Senate committee. However, his public testimony before the House Oversight Committee (on 2/28/19) is stunning. You can find Michael Cohen’s natal chart in this previous blog post.

Michael Cohen’s natal Venus is at 12 Leo and conjunct President Trump’s natal Pluto in Trump’s twelfth house. This event occurs as transiting Mars moves in to stimulate the January 31, 2018 lunar eclipse in Leo by square aspect. This would tend to indicate that Cohen’s testimony will be more significant than many people might think.

Cohen’s natal Venus was eclipsed and his relationship with Trump has changed dramatically, which is how an eclipse works. And, Trump’s natal Pluto in the twelfth was eclipsed as well. His power behind the scenes has also changed as a result of this eclipse.

The Best Of Miscellaneous Astrological Musings

This is from my December 3, 2016 post:

Frequent Flyer Winnings:

I finally won something. I almost never win anything in any game of chance. But, now I’ve won 25K frequent flyer miles.

On November 22 I received an email message from the airline that I usually fly when traveling. It seems that I had won a frequent flyer miles sweepstakes that I had entered earlier in the year. I had won 25K frequent flyer miles. On that day, the Sun (in Sagittarius - the sign that rules air travel) sextiled (60 degree angle) my natal Jupiter (the ruler of air travel). Jupiter was in a wide square to my natal Mercury (ruler of my ninth house of air travel). And, Venus was conjunct my natal Mercury. My progressed Venus is trining my natal Uranus, and Uranus rules my fifth house of gambling and lucky chances.

December 7, 2016 is the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor Attack, which brought the United States into WWII.

In drawing up the astrological chart for the attack, we find the Ascendant on Capricorn and in opposition to Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun in the USA's natal chart. Asteroid Icarus is rising (and, conjunct the Ascendant). Astrologer Al H. Morrison describes the effects of this asteroid this way: "Abrupt triumph and downfall. Like running into a pothole the size of a delivery truck." Transiting Mars is on the IC (bottom of the chart) showing the bombing and the fires on the ground. The Sun is in the twelfth house of death and loss and opposed by transiting Jupiter. The loss of life was enormous. The Moon (the people) is conjunct transiting Pluto (death).

This is from my January 2, 2017 post:

Flight 837:

United flight 837 took off from San Francisco International Airport at 11:36 AM PST on November 28 bound for Tokyo. Shortly after takeoff, one of the 747’s four engines burst into flames. The plane circled the airport, dumped excess fuel into the ocean outside of Monterey (unfortunately) and landed back at SFO at 1:36 PM safely. There were no injuries. The astrological chart for takeoff at SFO shows transiting Mars on the Ascendant. Transiting Jupiter was also trining the Ascendant in this chart.

Senator Dianne Feinstein Gets A Pacemaker

Senator Dianne Feinstein had a medical procedure on January 10, 2017 to have a pacemaker inserted into her heart. The procedure went well and she was back at work in the Senate the next day.

Senator Feinstein was born June 22, 1933 at 12:44 AM in San Francisco, California. Her natal Sun (the heart) is just barely in Cancer (0 degrees and 28 minutes). Transiting Mercury was in opposition to her natal Sun on the day of the procedure (making its third pass to that area as Mercury had been retrograding). Virgo (Mercury ruled) is on the Senator’s sixth house of health. The Moon conjoined her natal Sun on the 10th as well. Transiting Chiron (the wounded healer) has been transiting in opposition to her natal Mars in the sixth house for some time. Her progressed Jupiter is in a square aspect to her natal Sun. Hopefully, this resolves any difficulty she is having.

This is from my June 5, 2017 post:

A Friend’s Fourth House Cusp In Gemini:

We tend to want to have two of whatever is represented by which house is on Gemini in our charts. A friend of mine has Gemini on his fourth house. He has an apartment in San Francisco and also owns a home on a farm in the North Central part of California. He spends a few days in San Francisco to work, and then he spends the rest of his week on the farm.

My eclipses posts:

Among my most popular blog posts are the ones related to eclipses. I first became intensely interested in eclipses about three years ago. I looked up everything I could from various favorite astrologers of mine. As with some other areas, there wasn’t a great deal of agreement among them with regard to how to interpret eclipses. In terms of major world events, I became very impressed by what I read from Celeste Teal in her book, Eclipses, Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation. Her discussion of recent events, including the September 11, 2001 attack, is especially interesting.

This is from my February 7, 2018 post:

The other day a client mentioned to me that he had been having high blood sugar problems recently. So, I looked at his natal chart - he has a t-square with natal Venus at the apex. His natal Venus is in the twelfth house and squares natal Uranus/Pluto on one side and natal Saturn/Chiron on the other side. His natal Jupiter is sesquisquare his natal Venus. The problem likely started when Saturn was transiting Sagittarius and conjoined his natal Venus (and stimulated this configuration in his chart) last year.

January 20, 2019 Lunar Eclipse In Leo

The month of January is eclipse season in 2019. The second eclipse, a lunar eclipse, occurs on January 20, 2017 at 1 degree Leo. It occurs just after midnight on the US East Coast, so January 21 in that area. The eclipse will be visible in its entirety from North and South America, as well as portions of western Europe and northwest Africa. This one is a total lunar eclipse and it's a Blood Moon. You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 0 and 3 degrees of Leo and/or Aquarius. If you have planets or points at 29 degrees of Cancer or Capricorn, you too will be affected. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon. The emphasis is on creative self-expression through innovation, originality, and/or just being different or unique.

The lunar eclipse in Leo will affect the entertainment industry and children worldwide. Also, Leo brings world leaders into view or prominence. Transiting Uranus in square aspect indicates a time of instability and of sudden surprising and difficult events involving various world leaders. Transiting Mars square transiting Saturn and Pluto connotes power plays, power struggles, and possibly violence.

For the US, the eclipse falls in the tenth house in the eclipse chart over Washington DC and conjunct the MC. The President and the Executive Branch figure prominently. Transiting Uranus squares the eclipse point from the seventh house, so sudden, surprising, and difficult events are likely to occur involving the President with this eclipse. Transiting Mercury and Pluto are in opposition to the eclipse point. The media is likely to report events and issues in a less than favorable way for the President, and many of these reports are likely to continue to be from FBI activity involving Trump and his campaign in 2016. Risk taking could cause problems with regard to the nation’s finances. There is an element of delusion and excessive optimism with Neptune squaring Jupiter/Venus (in the second house) from the fifth house. However, increased worker productivity could help with Mars (in the sixth house) in trine aspect to Jupiter/Venus.

January 5, 2019 Solar Eclipse In Capricorn

Our first eclipse of 2019 will be a  solar eclipse on January 5, and it occurs at 15 degrees and 32 minutes Capricorn. This eclipse will be visible in East Asia, a very small part of Alaska, and much of the Pacific Ocean. Eclipses generally affect the masses - events that affect most people in a large area or even worldwide. Since this eclipse occurs in ambitious and business oriented Capricorn, this eclipse could affect corporate leaders along with large multinational corporations, authority figures, and the leather industry. The lord of the eclipse is Saturn, and it is also conjunct Pluto. So, this eclipse symbolizes authority, discipline, intensity, and power. There is a karmic element to this eclipse.
For the US, this eclipse will affect the President of the nation as it is in opposition to the Sun in the chart of the United States. It is highly likely that justice will prevail with this eclipse, because Saturn always requires what is deserved. And, even if what is deserved is something very good or positive, it usually takes a while for that to manifest. There is an element of permanence or of the final outcome of something. As is always the case, it might not occur along with the eclipse. It might be when one of the inner planets stimulate the eclipse. In this case, Saturn will also be stimulating the eclipse fairly soon after it occurs. Look for major events in late January and February of 2019. There will likely be more in early April as well. Saturn returns in August and remains close to this eclipse point till it moves on in November of 2019. It could be a difficult and intense year for the US. In addition, this eclipse occurs in the fifth house over Washington DC. Therefore, it will also affect the entertainment industry and children. Mercury squares Mars in the chart. So, it looks like there will be talk of war and rumours of war and conflict. Jupiter is in a square aspect to Neptune. Many will be tempted to take big and major risks, but there is great potential for loss here. There could be difficulties at sea or problems with the airline industry. A foreign power could destabilize home security if we are not vigilante.

As always, this eclipse will affect you personally if you have planets and/or points conjunct or opposite the eclipse point (only a two degree orb). Those planets or points between 13 degrees and 18 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer are included. Eclipses are Uranian in nature in that what happens is unexpected, and you might not even be certain as to what is happening for six months. For a solar eclipse, it takes about a year for the event to completely mature. Whether the eclipse is experienced as positive or negative depends on the planet that is conjoined or opposed, it’s place in your chart, the condition that the planet is in, and whether and how you might have prepared for what is happening (i.e. free will). If you’d like to know if you have planets or points that fall into this range, let me know. For most people, it will be experienced simply as a New Moon type event. Those are generally felt as the start of something new or a new beginning.

Astrology And Politics - Michael Cohen

Photo From CNN.com

Michael Cohen has been in the news quite a bit the last few days, and he was sentenced to thirty-six months in prison for various crimes - many of them committed for President Trump. This is actually a reduced sentence, because he had assisted attorneys for the government is some areas -- others, he did not. Michael Cohen was an attorney for Donald Trump, and has become known as his “fixer.”

Michael Cohen was born August 25, 1966 in Long Island, New York. I do not have the exact time of day. Below is Mr. Chen’s natal chart drawn at Noon of the day of his birth. He has natal Pluto and Uranus conjunct in Virgo (17 and 18 degrees). Both transiting Sun and Mars are stimulating eclipses - the 9/12/15 solar eclipse at 20 Virgo and the 3/08/16 total solar eclipse at 19 Pisces. Transiting Mars is at 17 degrees Pisces and the Sun is at 20 Sagittarius today - December 12, 2018. And of course, Donald Trump’s natal Uranus is at almost 18 Gemini and his natal Moon is at 21 Sagittarius. His lunar node is at 20 Gemini and his natal Sun is at 22 Gemini. Those are some serious hard aspects coming into play with the previously mentioned eclipses.

Michael Cohen’s lunar node is close to 20 degrees Taurus, his natal Neptune is at 19 degrees Scorpio (in opposition to his lunar node), and his natal Mercury is at 17 Leo. Today’s lunar transit puts the Moon in square aspect to Mr. Cohen’s lunar node. The August 7, 2017 lunar eclipse at 15 Aquarius is stimulated here. Michael Cohen had surrendered to the FBI on August 21, 2018 (about a year later).

Major Astrological Influences Of 2019

2019 promises to be a very interesting year. There will be more of the unexpected, more lessons to learn, more growth and opportunities, more dreams and ideals, and more transformational experiences. I’ll attempt to explain some of the major astrological influences of the year in the following paragraphs.

There are usually three Mercury retrograde periods every year. In 2019, these Mercury retrograde periods will fall in the water signs (mostly). Mercury actually begins its July retrograde period in the very early part of Leo. These periods are generally marked by miscommunications, misunderstandings, problems with communications equipment, travel delays, and plans that will later need to be revised or completely changed. It’s usually better not to make important decisions or to sign contracts (or anything else) if that is possible during these periods. Complications and problems are too easy to encounter, and often we don’t have all the information that we need. The best thing to do is to continue to collect this information throughout the period. How these periods will affect you personally depends on where it happens in your astrological chart(s).

There will be eclipses in January, July, and December of 2019. They occur in Capricorn, Leo, and Cancer. Interestingly, we will experience a solar eclipse on Christmas Day (later that evening) of this year - 2019. Eclipses are intense and important events that often affect the masses. An eclipse will affect you personally if it hits one of your natal planets or points (within a two degree orb). If you’d like to know if an eclipse will affect you personally, ask me. Most people will experience these eclipses as either a Full Moon or a New Moon.

Saturn will continue its transit through Capricorn. It could influence the large multi-national corporations, the leather and hide industries, and the iron and steel industries. This transit will affect you personally depending on where Saturn is transiting in your astrological chart(s) (its house placement and if it aspects any of your natal planets or points). Transiting Saturn will sextile transiting Neptune (in Pisces) during much of this year, but especially in January, June, and November. Those periods will most likely be beneficial. Perhaps, we can make some of our fondest dreams a reality, but we’ll have to work hard for it.

Uranus, the planet of change and the unexpected, will continue to transit the later part of Aries in 2019. Transiting Uranus will enter Taurus in March and remain there till July of 2025. Transiting Uranus could affect the high technology industry, astrology/astrologers, civil rights issues, and other humanitarian interests. Transiting Taurus, it could affect the banking industry, investments, and finances. It is likely to affect the stock market as well. We might come up with new ways to make money and/or we may change the way we think about money and other possessions. Some astrologers have indicated that this transit could cause more earthquakes to occur. My own view is that this transit alone will not be the cause of more earthquakes (should we actually experience more).

In 2018 we had a Mars retrograde period and a Venus retrograde period. In 2019, we are free of these retrograde periods for these two planets.

Jupiter will be transiting the sign of Sagittarius for much of 2019. We should experience opportunities with regard to foreign travel and learning about foreign cultures, the law, and higher education. Jupiter is at home in Sagittarius, and we should experiences opportunities for expansion, growth, and good fortune in whatever house Jupiter is transiting in our own charts. Just a little bit of caution is advised, however. Jupiter will be in a square aspect to transiting Neptune (in Pisces) at various time during the year. At such time, we might be tempted to take unnecessary and ill advised risks. If something sounds too good to be true during these periods of time, it probably is (too good to be true).

Neptune will continue its transit through its home sign of Pisces in 2019. The oil and gas industries will be impacted by this transit. Neptune also rules the motion picture industry and the shipping industry. This transit might help us out with some of the heavier Capricorn transits (Saturn and Pluto) during the year.

Pluto will continue to transit the sign of Capricorn in 2019. The areas related to Capricorn (see above for Saturn) are due for transformation. Pluto’s effects are subtle sometimes, tend to happen over a lengthy period of time, and are very powerful.

The Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting And The Eclipses

Eleven people were killed on October 27, 2018 at Tree Of Life Congregation Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a gunman stormed in on the congregation and began shooting. Six other people were seriously wounded. The police were notified at 9:54 AM local time. The event chart is below the written article.

At the time of the shooting, the Sun was stimulating the July 27, 2018 total lunar eclipse in Aquarius (at about 5 degrees). In that eclipse chart (over Washington DC), the cusp of the ninth house or organized religion is on Leo. And, the ruler of the ninth house (the Sun) is located in the eighth house of death and opposed to the Moon and Mars. Uranus squares both from Taurus. In the event chart for the formation of the city of Pittsburgh, we see Neptune and Mars in the early degrees of Scorpio and in opposition to the Sun in Taurus. Those planets square the eclipse point discussed in this paragraph. Chiron (in the Pittsburgh Chart) is at 7 Leo (which completes the grand cross in fixed signs).

In addition to the July 27, 2018 eclipse, transiting Mars was also stimulating the August 11, 2018 solar eclipse in Leo (at about 18 degrees). In Pittsburgh’s chart, we find Saturn at about 17 Taurus. Among those killed were a number of distinguished elders of the congregation.

Transiting Jupiter (and Mercury) were/are stimulating the Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 (at 28 Leo). The gunman’s birthday is September 4, 1972 (time and place unknown). His Mercury is at about 28 Leo and is squared by his natal Neptune (in early Sagittarius). His natal Jupiter (in late Sagittarius) is squared by his natal Pluto. Transiting Chiron squares his natal Jupiter and opposes his natal Pluto. There was a total solar eclipse at 29 Pisces on March 20, 2015. Asteroids Pittsburghia, Roberta, and Bower are conjunct in the ninth house or organized religion in the event chart.

The gunman’s natal Sun and Mars are conjunct the MC in the event chart. And, those planets are in a square aspect to his natal Saturn in Gemini.
