August 12, 2026 Solar Eclipse in Leo

 

August of 2026 is eclipse season, and the first eclipse (of two) is a solar eclipse at 20 degrees Leo. This total solar eclipse will sweep across Greenland, Iceland, and northern Spain, ending just before sunset. It is the first total eclipse visible in mainland Europe since 1999. Totality will last up to 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Observers across North America and Europe will experience a partial eclipse. This eclipse will affect world leaders, the creative arts and industry, children, and romance. 

For the USA, this eclipse will affect the law and law firms, the courts, the legislative branch, the airline industry, foreign cultures and countries. The effects will be mainly positive as the eclipse point trines Saturn. It should be good for commerce and business. However, Jupiter/Mercury are opposite Pluto in this chart. So, there could be some power struggles to contend with. And, the election in November should be contentious (as always). Mars is squaring Venus, so there could be more sexual scandals and the Epstein files are likely to be focused on in Congress and the nation. Venus is trining Uranus and some sudden, surprising and unexpected relationships could occur. These relationships should be quite deep and powerful as well because Pluto is trining both planets - Uranus and Venus - forming a grand trine. Barbault’s basket is at work here as well because Neptune is in early Aries. High tech partnerships and takeovers could be impressive, and those partnerships or resulting outfits/corporations could become quite powerful. Chiron is in the sixth house, so we could have some widespread health issues and problems in the health industry. The nation may need to work on past issues and wounds. The unemployment rate could increase fairly significantly. This eclipse squares Trump’s natal midheaven, so his popularity continues to be quite low,

Those planets or points between 18 degrees Aquarius or Leo and 22 degrees Aquarius or Leo are included. Eclipses are Uranian in nature in that what happens is unexpected, and you might not even be certain as to what is happening for six months. For a solar eclipse, it takes about a year for the event to completely mature. Whether the eclipse is experienced as positive or negative depends on the planet that is conjoined or opposed, its place in your chart, the condition that the planet is in, and whether and how you might have prepared for what is happening (i.e. free will). Multiple Earthquakes And the February 17, 2026 Eclipse

 

The world has experienced four earthquakes - three major and one moderate - in the last one or two days. Two of them occurred in Venezuela (both over 7 on the richter scale), one in Japan (another over 7), and the one in Northern California (5.6 on the richter scale). They have occurred as transiting Mars has begun to activate the February 17, 2026 solar eclipse. The eclipse point is active or stimulated for the next few days, so more events are possible. Another interesting and related Astrological event is the entrance of transiting Chiron into the sign of Taurus.  An additional current event is the fracture that seems to have happened within the Republican Party. Some US Senators and a few Representatives have begun to oppose or stand up to President Trump. He is not happy about it as Mars is also squaring his natal Mars - thus the outburst in the Senate hearing yesterday. I suspect that there is more to come related to these matters as well. Also, this could affect the President’s deteriorating health. A major health event is not out of the question the next few days. Senator Mitch McConnell’s declining health is also affected by this activation.

The LaGuardia Plane Crash And the September 7 Eclipse

 

An Air Canada jet crashed into a truck on the runway as it was landing at New York’s LaGuardia International Airport at 11:37 PM on March 22, 2026. Both pilots perished in the crash and a number of other people were hurt and rushed to the hospital.

At that time, transiting Mars had activated the September 7, 2025 lunar eclipse in Pisces by conjunction. In that eclipse chart. Uranus was in a wide square to transiting Mercury in the ninth house (air travel). 

In the event chart for this crash, transiting Mars is conjunct the IC in the fourth house indicated the fire that broke out at the time of the crash. Interestingly, the Moon is conjunct transiting Uranus in this chart as well. There will likely be more surprises in store for the airline industry. 

   

February 17, 2026 Solar Eclipse In Aquarius

 

Our first eclipse of 2026 will be an annular “ring of fire” solar eclipse on February 17, 2026 and it will occur at 28 degrees and 56 minutes Aquarius. At least a partial eclipse will be seen by the Southern parts of Africa and South America, Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, and Antarctica. This eclipse will affect the high technology industry (and AI), Astrology, humanitarian institutions, issues of rebellion and protest, and things that are different/unique.

For the USA, this eclipse will affect the nation overall since the eclipse chart over Washington DC shows the eclipse is conjunction the Ascendant (although in the twelfth house). It will particularly affect hospitals, prisons and ICE facilities,  and behind the scenes issues and affairs. The eclipse will affect the American people as the eclipse is conjunction the Moon in the nation’s (Sibley) chart. It opposes President Trump’s natal Ascendant and will directly affect the President. His partners and enemies will play integral roles. This eclipse could affect his health because the Ascendant is the native’s body (along with personality and appearance). Surprises (and maybe a few shocks) could be in store in all these areas since the eclipse is in square aspect to transiting Uranus. It could forebode some major swings (up and down) of the stock market with Uranus transiting Taurus at the time of the eclipse. Jupiter is located in the fifth house in the chart and should affect the entertainment industry and children in a positive way. Transiting Venus and Mercury trine Jupiter in this chart and is quite helpful. However, there could also be accidents with the eclipse point quincunz transiting Jupiter.

Minnesota ICE Shooting And the Eclipses

 

An ICE agent shot a woman in Minneapolis this morning - January 7, 2026. This event occurs as transiting Mars is activating the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse at 19 Aries. There is also a solar eclipse at 21 Libra (October 14, 2023) that will also be activated in the days ahead. These solar eclipses are turning out to be quite potent. Remember that Charlie Kirk was killed as Mars was transiting these degrees in Libra back in September.

The eclipse activations also occur as the US seizes oil tankers off of Venezuela - one Russian tanker and I think the other one was a Chinese tanker. This has increased world tensions along with Trump and Miller’s threats against Greenland, Cuba, and Colombia. 

So, I would expect more to come in the coming days - probably more violence and difficulty.

    

The Major Astrological Influences of 2026

 

2026 promises to be a very interesting year. There will be more of the unexpected, more lessons to learn, more growth and opportunities, more dreams and ideals, and more transformational experiences. I’ll attempt to explain some of the major astrological influences of the year in the following paragraphs.

There are usually three Mercury retrograde periods every year. This year, the first Mercury retrograde period begins on February 25 of 2026. The following dates/times are local time in San Francisco, CA. The second Mercury retrograde period begins on June 29, 2026. And, the last Mercury retrograde period begins October 24, 2026. They usually last for about three weeks. These periods are generally marked by miscommunications, misunderstandings, problems with communications equipment, travel delays, and plans that will later need to be revised or completely changed. It’s usually better not to make important decisions or to sign contracts (or anything else) - if that is possible - during these periods. Complications and problems are too easy to encounter, and often we don’t have all the information that we need. The best thing to do is to continue to collect this information throughout the period. How these periods will affect you personally depends on where it happens in your astrological chart(s).

In 2026, Venus turns retrograde in early October of 2026 and remains in apparent retrograde motion till mid November. All types of relationships are up for review during this period.    

There will be eclipses in February, March, and August of 2026. They occur in Aquarius, Virgo, Leo, and Pisces. If you’d like to know if an eclipse will affect you personally, ask me. The first eclipse - a solar eclipse on February 17 - occurs in opposition to President Trump's natal Ascendant. So, this will be a very significant year for him - probably not in a good way. Most people will experience these eclipses as either a Full Moon (lunar eclipse) or a New Moon (solar eclipse).

Saturn continues its final transit through Pisces in 2026. Saturn affects. Saturn’s transit here will affect the oil and gas industry, the motion picture industry, matters at sea or the oceans, and spiritual issues. Saturn will enter Aries on February 13, 2026. Aries is an aggressive and physical sign, so this transit will affect police departments, the armed services, and the physical fitness industry.  This transit will affect you personally depending on where Saturn is transiting in your astrological chart(s) (its house placement and if it aspects any of your natal planets or points). This transit will likely be difficult for the USA because the nation's chart has three planets in the first half of Cancer. The first part of the year should be more difficult than that last half of th year.

Uranus, the planet of change and the unexpected, will continue to transit financially conscious Taurus in 2026. Uranus will transit Taurus till April 25 of 2026. Transiting Uranus could affect the high technology industry, astrology/astrologers, civil rights issues, and other humanitarian interests. Transiting Taurus, it could affect the banking industry, investments,  and finances. It is likely to affect the stock market as well. We might come up with new ways to make money and/or we may change the way we think about money and other possessions. Some astrologers have indicated that this transit could cause more earthquakes to occur. My own view is that this transit alone will not be the cause of more earthquakes (should we actually experience more). Then on April 25, 2026, Uranus enters the sign of the twins, Gemini. It will affect the transportation industry (auto, bikes, and others) and secondary education.

Jupiter will transit the sign of Cancer through June 29, 2026, Industries related to home, family, and real estate are affected by this transit.

Jupiter enters Leo in late June, 2026. Industries related to self expression, creativity, entertainment, and children will be affected. Jupiter is an expansive planet and provides opportunities, luck, growth, and healing. 

Neptune will continue its final transit through its home sign of Pisces in 2026. The oil and gas industries will be impacted by this transit. Neptune also rules the motion picture industry (and photography) and the shipping industry. Neptune enters Aries on January 26, 2026. After that time, this transit will affect police departments, the armed services, and the physical fitness industry.

Pluto will continue to transit the sign of Aquarius in 2026. The areas related to Aquarius are due for transformation. Pluto’s effects are subtle sometimes, tend to happen over a lengthy period of time, and are very powerful. High-tech, Astrology, civil rights concerns, and humanitarian issues will be affected by this transit and will be due for some transformations. Look for AI to become more prevalent.

President Trump's Health - December, 2025

I’ve received questions and seen many questions on social media regarding President Trump’s health. So, I’m going to do a short post about what I see in his chart with transits, his progressed chart, and eclipses. I’ll let you know what is going on now and give a general idea of what will occur in the months ahead with regard to Trump’s health.

We look at a number of planets, houses, and points when analyzing one’s health. The sixth house in a natal chart rules health. The Ascendant rules the body (and personality). The Sun is you and is always important. The Sun rules the heart in one’s chart. The Moon rules your inner self and is important. It also rules the brain,  breasts, and stomach in one’s chart. The sign that best represents health would be Virgo (in my view). We often look at Chiron since it deals with one’s wounds and issues.

Transiting Uranus is now at 29 Taurus and is in (apparent) retrograde motion. Therefore, it is squaring Trump’s natal Ascendant at 29 Leo. This is a hard and stressful long-term transit/aspect. This would cause Trump to act in unexpected ways (even more than usual). He might have problems with nerves, his nervous system, and his ankles. Since Trump’s Ascendant is in Leo, it could affect his heart (probably) in a difficult way. Uranus will retrograde back into square aspect to Trump’s Mars as well (which is in a fairly close conjunction to his Ascendant). This would explain his sudden outbursts of anger (although, there are probably other catalysts as well). This aspect can cause physical accidents like falling down (hard) suddenly. He needs to be very careful. Also, Mars rules the head. He could have issues with his head (which might also affect his brain).

Pluto is transiting Trump’s sixth house of daily life and health. This indicates that Trump’s daily life and his health are due for transformation. Trump has never really taken very good care of himself, so this transit will likely be very hard on him. And, transiting Pluto is now squaring Trump’s Progressed Ascendant in early Scorpio (1 degree 45 minutes using the placidus house system). This is somewhat a double whammy since Pluto rules Scorpio. This aspect explains his obsession with power and others with a great deal of power. This is hard on his health in general. And, sometimes when Pluto is involved, cancer is an issue. Transiting Pluto will soon be opposed Trump’s Progressed Saturn (at 4 Leo). I don’t usually use progressed outer planets in analysis, but Trump’s natal Saturn was moving fairly rapidly in its revolution around the Sun at the time of his birth. So, it has progressed quite a few degrees (in Cancer) and into Leo (another sign). This aspect is important not only because Pluto is transiting Trump’s sixth house but also because Saturn rules Trump’s natal sixth house (Capricorn). Saturn also rules the bones, so it could affect Trump’s bones and bone structure negatively. Trump’s natal Pluto is at 10 Leo, so it will be a triple whammy when Pluto transits to 10 Aquaius in three or four years (if he is still here).

In the months and years ahead, transiting Saturn and Neptune will re-enter Aries and square Trump’s natal Mercury. Mercury rules one’s mental processes and will be difficult for him. They will also oppose Trump’s natal Neptune. Neptune rules the blood and blood issues. When Saturn squared Trump’s natal Neptune earlier this year, the issue with his veins surfaced. It will get worse next year.

The solar eclipse on September 21, 2025 in late Virgo was in the eighth house over Washington DC. This eclipse is ominous with regard to our leaders in Washington. Transiting Mars will activate this point on December 13, 2025 by square aspect. The days around this date along with this date could be quite significant. I’ll watch closely to see what (if anything) happens.  

September 21, 2025 Solar Eclipse In Virgo

 

Our last eclipse of 2025 will be a partial solar eclipse on September 21, 2025 and it will occur at 29 degrees Virgo. This eclipse is visible from New Zealand, a thin strip of Australia’s eastern coast, various Pacific islands, and parts of Antarctica. Actually, New Zealanders will see the eclipse at sunrise on September 22. This eclipse is on an anaretic degree, making it even more significant. This Virgo eclipse will affect health and healthcare issues and civil servants/workers.   

For the USA, this eclipse is in the eighth house of death and transformation. It will affect leader(s), the banking industry, debt issues/consumer debt, and the stock market to some extent. With the Sun in the eighth house, a prominent leader will likely die. I would be remiss if I did not mention the current publicity surrounding the President’s health. It does not necessarily indicate that the President will die, but with his current health issues, it could happen. Transiting Saturn and Neptune oppose the eclipse point from the second house indicating problems with the economy and the stock market. Unemployment numbers could rise precipitously. With transiting Mercury conjunct the eclipse point, there could be issues and problems with the media. Some reports might be skewed or deceiving or just plain in error. Transiting Mars is in the ninth house of foreign countries and is squaring transiting Pluto in the first house. Acts of war could be perpetrated against the nation. Or, there is just anger and other nations take actions that do not benefit the USA. On the other hand, transiting Uranus and Pluto form a grand trine with the eclipse point which should be very beneficial in terms of results from some difficult, sudden and/or surprising, and intense events. Home and family issues and humanitarian issues fare well.

September 7, 2025 Lunar Eclipse In Pisces

 

The month of September is eclipse season in 2025. The first eclipse, a ”blood full Moon” lunar eclipse, will occur on September 7, 2025 in Pisces. It occurs in the sign of Pisces at about 15 degrees. You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 13 and 17 degrees of Pisces and/or Virgo. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon.

This is the longest total lunar eclipse since 2022. Totality will be visible from Australia, Europe, Africa, and Asia. The West in North America will see some parts of the eclipse. 

The lunar eclipse in Pisces will affect public health issues as well as our ability to feel compassion and give of ourselves unconditionally, events at sea or having to do with large bodies of water, the oil and gas industry in the USA and abroad. The civilian workforce and the motion picture industry are also affected by this eclipse.

For the USA, the communications/media industry, secondary education schools, and the short distance travel (cars) industry are directly affected by this eclipse. The results should be primarily positive with Jupiter in trine aspect to the eclipse point. While the President and business leaders are very optimistic about the stock market and banking industry, that optimism could be quite excessive. There could be quite a bit of debt defaulted on. On the other hand, workers could get a surprising increase in earnings/wages. News from afar seems to come in very rapidly and could possibly be quite shocking, and not necessarily positive. 

Manhattan Mass Shooting

 

The recent mass shooting event in Manhattan occurred at just before 6:30 PM local time on July 28, 2025. As I have often discussed in previous blog posts about events such as this, the event very often is associated with an inner planet (Mars in this case) transiting and activating a previous eclipse point. The eclipse that this event most closely associates with is the first eclipse of this year - the lunar eclipse of March 14, 2025 at 24 Virgo. Mars was transiting this point at the time, and it was conjunct the North Node in Manhattan’s horoscope (see below). 

In the event chart, transiting Mars and the Moon are conjunct in the eighth house of transformation and death and squaring transiting Venus in the sixth house of workers. Chiron is conjunct the IC at the bottom of the chart.

March 14, 2025 Lunar Eclipse In Virgo

 

 

The month of March is eclipse season in 2025. The first eclipse, a lunar eclipse, occurs on March 14, 2025 in Virgo. This eclipse occurs in the sign of Virgo at about 24 degrees. You will be affected by this eclipse if you have planets or points between 22 and 26 degrees of Pisces and/or Virgo. Most folks will simply experience the eclipse as a full Moon. Full Moons usually indicate a climax or coming to fruition of something, and we are normally more emotional during a full Moon. Parts of the world that will see at least some parts of the eclipse include Europe, much of Asia, much of Australia, much of Africa, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic. and Antarctica.    

This lunar eclipse in Virgo will affect public health issues as well as our ability to feel compassion and give of ourselves unconditionally, events at sea or having to do with large bodies of water, the oil and gas industry in the USA and abroad. 

For the US, the airline industry, education, medicine, the legal industry, and the automobile industry are affected. This eclipse indicates increased pressure on healthcare, workers, hospitals, and prisons. The eclipse point is square the USA’s natal Mars, so this eclipse could also affect the military and potential conflicts.  Violence on the homefront could lead to deep sadness and wounding as Mars squares Chiron in the eclipse chart. And, the enemies (and, possibly partners) of the USA could be quite aggressive with Mars in the seventh house Saturn is conjunct the Sun and could lead to serious difficulty for the President and other authority figures. Positively aspected Uranus in the fifth house could indicate some sudden benefits for the entertainment industry. Speculative stocks could provide some sudden and surprising opportunities for seasoned investors.

In 2024, Mars turns retrograde on December 6, 2024 and remains in apparent retrograde motion for the remainder of the year. Be careful regarding the actions that you take during this period. Things might very well not work out as planned, and some actions could result in a backfire.    

There will be eclipses in March, April, September, and October of 2023. They occur in Libra, Aries, and Pisces. If you’d like to know if an eclipse will affect you personally, ask me. Most people will experience these eclipses as either a Full Moon or a New Moon.

Saturn continues its transit through Pisces in 2024. Saturn affects. If you’re a Pisces, it’s time to buck up and get it together. Saturn’s transit here will affect the oil and gas industry, the motion picture industry, matters at sea or the oceans, and spiritual issues. This transit will affect you personally depending on where Saturn is transiting in your astrological chart(s) (its house placement and if it aspects any of your natal planets or points).

Uranus, the planet of change and the unexpected, will continue to transit financially conscious Taurus in 2025. Transiting Uranus will transit Taurus till July of 2025. Transiting Uranus could affect the high technology industry, astrology/astrologers, civil rights issues, and other humanitarian interests. Transiting Taurus, it could affect the banking industry, investments,  and finances. It is likely to affect the stock market as well. We might come up with new ways to make money and/or we may change the way we think about money and other possessions. Some astrologers have indicated that this transit could cause more earthquakes to occur. My own view is that this transit alone will not be the cause of more earthquakes (should we actually experience more). 

Jupiter will transit the sign of Taurus through May 25, 2024, Financial matters, the banking industry, investments, and certain types of real estate concerns are favored, The stock market is likely to continue to do well during this period. If you’re a Taurus, make the most of this final transit of Jupiter in your sign. Jupiter does not return to your sign till 2035.

Jupiter enters Gemini in late May, 2024. Primary education issues, short distance travel, the automobile industry, and the communications industries are favored during this transit. If you’re a Gemini, this could be one of the best times of your life. You have more power than you know in early June as Jupiter trines transiting Pluto. But, you could run into some challenges in mid August and late December as Jupiter squares transiting Saturn.

Neptune will continue its transit through its home sign of Pisces in 2024. The oil and gas industries will be impacted by this transit. Neptune also rules the motion picture industry (and photography) and the shipping industry.  

Pluto will continue to transit the sign of Capricorn till January 20, 2024. Pluto also retrogrades back into Capricorn in mid October and stays there till mid November. The areas related to Capricorn are due for transformation. It could influence the large multinational corporations, the leather and hide industries, and the iron and steel industries. Pluto’s effects are subtle sometimes, tend to happen over a lengthy period of time, and are very powerful. 

Pluto enters Aquarius on January 20, 2024 and stays there for much of the rest of the year. The exception is listed above. High-tech, astrology, civil rights concerns, and humanitarian issues will be affected by this transit and will be due for some transformations.
