The Major Astrological Influences of 2026

 

2026 promises to be a very interesting year. There will be more of the unexpected, more lessons to learn, more growth and opportunities, more dreams and ideals, and more transformational experiences. I’ll attempt to explain some of the major astrological influences of the year in the following paragraphs.

There are usually three Mercury retrograde periods every year. This year, the first Mercury retrograde period begins on February 25 of 2026. The following dates/times are local time in San Francisco, CA. The second Mercury retrograde period begins on June 29, 2026. And, the last Mercury retrograde period begins October 24, 2026. They usually last for about three weeks. These periods are generally marked by miscommunications, misunderstandings, problems with communications equipment, travel delays, and plans that will later need to be revised or completely changed. It’s usually better not to make important decisions or to sign contracts (or anything else) - if that is possible - during these periods. Complications and problems are too easy to encounter, and often we don’t have all the information that we need. The best thing to do is to continue to collect this information throughout the period. How these periods will affect you personally depends on where it happens in your astrological chart(s).

In 2026, Venus turns retrograde in early October of 2026 and remains in apparent retrograde motion till mid November. All types of relationships are up for review during this period.    

There will be eclipses in February, March, and August of 2026. They occur in Aquarius, Virgo, Leo, and Pisces. If you’d like to know if an eclipse will affect you personally, ask me. The first eclipse - a solar eclipse on February 17 - occurs in opposition to President Trump's natal Ascendant. So, this will be a very significant year for him - probably not in a good way. Most people will experience these eclipses as either a Full Moon (lunar eclipse) or a New Moon (solar eclipse).

Saturn continues its final transit through Pisces in 2026. Saturn affects. Saturn’s transit here will affect the oil and gas industry, the motion picture industry, matters at sea or the oceans, and spiritual issues. Saturn will enter Aries on February 13, 2026. Aries is an aggressive and physical sign, so this transit will affect police departments, the armed services, and the physical fitness industry.  This transit will affect you personally depending on where Saturn is transiting in your astrological chart(s) (its house placement and if it aspects any of your natal planets or points). This transit will likely be difficult for the USA because the nation's chart has three planets in the first half of Cancer. The first part of the year should be more difficult than that last half of th year.

Uranus, the planet of change and the unexpected, will continue to transit financially conscious Taurus in 2026. Uranus will transit Taurus till April 25 of 2026. Transiting Uranus could affect the high technology industry, astrology/astrologers, civil rights issues, and other humanitarian interests. Transiting Taurus, it could affect the banking industry, investments,  and finances. It is likely to affect the stock market as well. We might come up with new ways to make money and/or we may change the way we think about money and other possessions. Some astrologers have indicated that this transit could cause more earthquakes to occur. My own view is that this transit alone will not be the cause of more earthquakes (should we actually experience more). Then on April 25, 2026, Uranus enters the sign of the twins, Gemini. It will affect the transportation industry (auto, bikes, and others) and secondary education.

Jupiter will transit the sign of Cancer through June 29, 2026, Industries related to home, family, and real estate are affected by this transit.

Jupiter enters Leo in late June, 2026. Industries related to self expression, creativity, entertainment, and children will be affected. Jupiter is an expansive planet and provides opportunities, luck, growth, and healing. 

Neptune will continue its final transit through its home sign of Pisces in 2026. The oil and gas industries will be impacted by this transit. Neptune also rules the motion picture industry (and photography) and the shipping industry. Neptune enters Aries on January 26, 2026. After that time, this transit will affect police departments, the armed services, and the physical fitness industry.

Pluto will continue to transit the sign of Aquarius in 2026. The areas related to Aquarius are due for transformation. Pluto’s effects are subtle sometimes, tend to happen over a lengthy period of time, and are very powerful. High-tech, Astrology, civil rights concerns, and humanitarian issues will be affected by this transit and will be due for some transformations. Look for AI to become more prevalent.

President Trump's Health - December, 2025

I’ve received questions and seen many questions on social media regarding President Trump’s health. So, I’m going to do a short post about what I see in his chart with transits, his progressed chart, and eclipses. I’ll let you know what is going on now and give a general idea of what will occur in the months ahead with regard to Trump’s health.

We look at a number of planets, houses, and points when analyzing one’s health. The sixth house in a natal chart rules health. The Ascendant rules the body (and personality). The Sun is you and is always important. The Sun rules the heart in one’s chart. The Moon rules your inner self and is important. It also rules the brain,  breasts, and stomach in one’s chart. The sign that best represents health would be Virgo (in my view). We often look at Chiron since it deals with one’s wounds and issues.

Transiting Uranus is now at 29 Taurus and is in (apparent) retrograde motion. Therefore, it is squaring Trump’s natal Ascendant at 29 Leo. This is a hard and stressful long-term transit/aspect. This would cause Trump to act in unexpected ways (even more than usual). He might have problems with nerves, his nervous system, and his ankles. Since Trump’s Ascendant is in Leo, it could affect his heart (probably) in a difficult way. Uranus will retrograde back into square aspect to Trump’s Mars as well (which is in a fairly close conjunction to his Ascendant). This would explain his sudden outbursts of anger (although, there are probably other catalysts as well). This aspect can cause physical accidents like falling down (hard) suddenly. He needs to be very careful. Also, Mars rules the head. He could have issues with his head (which might also affect his brain).

Pluto is transiting Trump’s sixth house of daily life and health. This indicates that Trump’s daily life and his health are due for transformation. Trump has never really taken very good care of himself, so this transit will likely be very hard on him. And, transiting Pluto is now squaring Trump’s Progressed Ascendant in early Scorpio (1 degree 45 minutes using the placidus house system). This is somewhat a double whammy since Pluto rules Scorpio. This aspect explains his obsession with power and others with a great deal of power. This is hard on his health in general. And, sometimes when Pluto is involved, cancer is an issue. Transiting Pluto will soon be opposed Trump’s Progressed Saturn (at 4 Leo). I don’t usually use progressed outer planets in analysis, but Trump’s natal Saturn was moving fairly rapidly in its revolution around the Sun at the time of his birth. So, it has progressed quite a few degrees (in Cancer) and into Leo (another sign). This aspect is important not only because Pluto is transiting Trump’s sixth house but also because Saturn rules Trump’s natal sixth house (Capricorn). Saturn also rules the bones, so it could affect Trump’s bones and bone structure negatively. Trump’s natal Pluto is at 10 Leo, so it will be a triple whammy when Pluto transits to 10 Aquaius in three or four years (if he is still here).

In the months and years ahead, transiting Saturn and Neptune will re-enter Aries and square Trump’s natal Mercury. Mercury rules one’s mental processes and will be difficult for him. They will also oppose Trump’s natal Neptune. Neptune rules the blood and blood issues. When Saturn squared Trump’s natal Neptune earlier this year, the issue with his veins surfaced. It will get worse next year.

The solar eclipse on September 21, 2025 in late Virgo was in the eighth house over Washington DC. This eclipse is ominous with regard to our leaders in Washington. Transiting Mars will activate this point on December 13, 2025 by square aspect. The days around this date along with this date could be quite significant. I’ll watch closely to see what (if anything) happens.
